I personally know how daunting the task of learning a language like Greek might seem, but believe me, that's when we thought the traditional grammar approach was the only way to go. We now know that we can learn Greek and any other language while having fun and enjoying the process every step of the way. Not only can we learn the Greek language that way, but I believe it's actually the only way to do it.
That's why I've put together this page with videos and resources to learn Greek for free and with online Greek courses with our wonderful native teacher John.
Before we get into it, let me tell you upfront that you're indeed going to need Greek classes if you're starting from scratch. I'm not saying this because we offer paid courses here (we'll also post online classes on the free section), but because it's actually the truth. I'm the first to tell you that you can learn a language from scratch on your own when that language is related to your native language (like I did with Italian). But when a language is totally different from your own (Greek-English in this case), not even the simplest resources like cartoons are going to be comprehensible.
If you've known me for a while, you know I really appreciate honesty and I always tell you what I actually believe. I'm actually not a fan of modern marketing strategies and you always have the possibility of finding your teacher somewhere else! VIDEOS AND RESOURCES TO LEARN GREEK FOR FREE
Once you start improving and you can understand more and more of the language, other simple resources are going to start becoming comprehensible. I'm talking about cartoons, comic books and similar resources to sort of "teach yourself Greek". In this case, I personally used them when I started learning different languages, so I know what I'm talking about.
Like I said, we'll also post some online recorded classes in this section for you to keep improving and to realize how amazing comprehensible input-based learning is!
Needless to say, you don't have to worry about your output here because that's going to lead you to nothing but frustration and because we already know that we learn Greek and any other language by listening and reading and that our output will eventually show up as a RESULT!
